Freezer Inventory: August

Since starting to keep track of what we have in the freezer, I am starting to see cycles of emptiness and fullness. This is helping me plan grocery shopping and our weekly menu, and I think it's preventing odds and ends from being lost to the icy depths for all time.

Here's an update on what's in the freezer right now:

Meats & other main dishes
t-bone steaks (for celebration)
chicken breasts
hamburger patties
cooked and seasoned ground beef
meat sauce
tilapia
pot roast
lamb shoulder
goat stew

Vegetarian / Grains

cooked black beans
multigrain blend with veggies (Labor Day potluck)
cheese tortellini

Veggies

Miscellaneous

pear juice (use for applesauce or smoothies?)
shrimp-flavored garlic

(the entries in red are scheduled to be eaten entirely soon)
