Going meatless for a month

For the month of May, my sweetie and I are going to eat vegetarian meals. (Meatless May sounded better than other months, and there aren't any significant occasions where we'd expect to eat meat.)

I've been scouring Craigslist for recycled wedding supplies, and Saturday landed a big box of awesome.

Birthday Week Begins!

I am still young enough (some would say "immature enough", and to them I say :PPppppPPP!) to make a big production out of celebrating my birthday. Generally, I assign about a week to fully appreciate the celebration -- depending on where in the week my actual birthday falls, so I can arrange my calendar. This year it's on Saturday.

Bargain-Basement Prices for a Thrifty Wedding

Yesterday I was home sick from work, and when I finally woke up and had something to eat, the condition of our bedroom bothered me. We have too much stuff in the apartment. And I just haven't had any time to clean or organize it.

So my sweetie and I packed up two big piles: one to take to the storage unit (extra luggage, art supplies, and some glassware of our housemate's) and one to donate to the thrift store (the housemate's rolling chair, the books and clothes I've been meaning to get out of the way, an old printer that was given to us months ago).
