Best book of the month: Sir Callie and the Champions of Helston
A middle grade fantasy novel with a nonbinary main character! I ran across this on Mombian and thought it might be perfect for a friend's kid, but ended up reading it myself and ordering the two sequels. I'm looking forward to learning more about the history of Helston and how Callie's parents met and what Callie's magic looks like once they've trained it a bit.
Worst book of the month:
Nothing stands out -- none of the three were perfect, but they were all enjoyable. Can I read more than 5 in the next 3 months? I hope so.
